Anamanaguchi Auckland Headline Show Announced

US chiptune enthusiasts Anamanaguchi are bringing their zippy and atmospheric music to Aotearoa for the very first time. Hailing from NYC, the four-piece are known for evoking the distinctly 8-bit sonics of video game hardware such as the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and Game Boy in their energising, kaleidoscopic pop-rock compositions. They’ve even sent a slice of pizza out into the sky for their music video ‘Endless Fantasy’—the title track from their 2013 record. Since their 2019 album [USA], the gaming adjacent group released a remix of Porter Robinson’s ‘Get Your Wish’ and even a sixty-three track collaborative soundtrack for the Netflix series Scott Pilgrim Takes Off.

Anamanaguchi is a four-piece band from New York and L.A. that programs and performs intensely emotional digital music, and also once sent a slice of pizza into space.
