It's been a sun-soaked ripper of a festival season, yet the biggest fun is just around the corner. Happening throughout the avenues and alleyways of Pōneke's Cuba Street precinct on 23rd and 24th March, the whopping full lineup for the all-free, whānau-friendly CubaDupa 2024 festival has been revealed today — an immense diversity of arts and music riches encompassing over 250 performances and 800 performers.

This year's multi-stage extravaganza notably features the Asia New Zealand Street and Music Showcase, including South Korean street performance group Momggol, part of a two day programme showcasing "kaupapa Māori musicians, singer-songwriters, 11-piece bands, DJs, electronic and rap artists... a body-painting competition, a Wellington-first mass ukulele parade (Uke-A-Dupa), Korean and UK street performers, French levitation acts, puppet performances, a silent disco, live mural painting" and so much more, all encouraging attendees to "find their wild" in the beating heart of the capital. There will be a bespoke live screen-printing station for you to make and bring home a custom wearable momento (bring your own tee), while The Fresh Choice Street Feast's variety of food options will ensure you'll have gas in the tank to keep going all weekend long. Dive into the full musical lineup details, note the stage info below and head along to www.cubadupa.co.nz for even more details on which music and arts treasures await at CubaDupa 2024...

"The festival’s most popular stages are also returning for this year’s celebration. Thanks to Wellington Airport, one of CubaDupa’s partners, the Wellington Airport Ngā Taniwha Stage is coming back to Cuba Street central at Wilson carpark. On Ghuznee Street, there is the Glover Park stage. This stage incites a wild dance party with its soft grass setting and kiwi summer feel. Enjoy the music from the dancefloor, or the nearby bar — Rogue and Vagabond — or the Havana coffee lounge. Further down the street at Te Aro Park is the Ngā Toi o Te Aro stage — a space at the festival dedicated to kaupapa Māori and the celebration of our Pasifika whānau. The award-winning artists and acts playing at this stage will be showcasing the creativity and strength of Pasifika peoples and Tangata Whenua. Te Aro park will also be hosting traditional kai stalls, a Wānanga space and an area for whānau to enjoy themselves.

CubaDupa would not be possible without the tautoko of its incredible sponsors: Wellington City Council, Wellington International Airport, NZME, E Tū Whānau, Havana Coffee Works, Ministry of Ethnic Communities, Ambassade de France à Wellington, Australian High Commission, Asia NZ Foundation, Creative New Zealand, KAMS (Center Stage Korea), Te Māngai Pāho, Resene, Wilson Parking, Go Media, Pub Charity, Lion Foundation, Four Winds Foundation, KPMG, Aro Digital, NZ Music Commission, Fresh Choice, Six Barrel Soda, Werk, Gilmours, S*LK Event Design, Radio Active fm"
