Office Dog US Tour Fundraiser Shows Announced w/ Violet Hirst
Widely hailed by those with ears to listen as a high water mark of Aotearoa music in 2023, Office Dog's debut album Spiel spotlights the masterfully executed math / post-rock mantras of singer-guitarist Kane Strang, bassist Rassani Tolovaa and drummer Mitchell Innes. Embarking on a whopper fifteen date tour of the US this coming October in support of indie-rock stars Nada Surf, the Flying Nun trio are asking for your help to get them across the vast Pacific Ocean, announcing today fundraiser gigs in Tāmaki Makaurau and Pōneke for late June, plus a "hometown Ōtepoti gig TBA".
The whole dang Office Dog Family are playing both shows, meaning not only OD, but also Kane Strang doing double duty with his own band, Violet Hirst — whose debut long player Donegal was a '23 standout as well — and even more. Limited edition merch will be available and southern fans can catch Hirst and Strang warming up this weekend at Ōtepoti's Maggies, preempting the official announcement of OD's hometown fundraiser. Help the team achieve liftoff, bundle up and head along this winter...

Press release:
Office Dog have just announced a massive tour of the US for October and are putting on two special North Island shows this June to help get them there. It’s a family affair, with frontman Kane Strang performing his solo music with a full band for the first time in years (aside from a secret set at this year’s Welcome to Nowhere!) and long-time OD keyboardist / backing vocalist Violet Hirst playing too.
Don’t miss out on what is sure to be a great night, grab some limited edition merch, and support the band in taking their debut album ‘Spiel’ overseas for the first time.
