Erny Belle Announces Auckland Headline Show
Upon the nightfall of a Sunday this very month, Erny Belle aka Aimee Renata (Ngāpuhi) will serenade us as we’re tucked in like “merry sardines” over a glass of wine at Tāmaki’s Freida Margolis. She will be performing as a quartet with guitarist Tiare Kelly, violinist Dave Khan and bassist Navakatoa Tekela-Pule (the charismatic host of UTR’s Live Music Bar series). The Flying Nun artist was finalist for the 2024 Taite Music Prize for her sophomore record Not Your Cupid, and was most recently seen teaming up with Marlin’s Dreaming on their intoxicating single ‘Earnestly’. This strictly limited capacity show is sure to sell out, so don’t hover or dawdle in the slightest. Belle’s voice and craft speaks volumes in itself...
