Racing Announce 'Ooh Yea' Single Release Tour
Winners of the Tūī for Best Rock Artist at this year's Aotearoa Music Awards, Racing will soon be playing all around the motu in celebration of their forthcoming single 'Ooh Yea'. With their bewitching dance seams threaded into some good ol’ rock and roll, singer Ed Knowles, guitarist Sven Pettersen (both formerly of The Checks), bassist Daniel Barrett and drummer Izaak Houston have built a strong stage bond over several years now, repping two long players under their collective belts so far. Which a new album on the horizon, the four-piece touched down recently at The Mothership in Central Auckland and released a dizzying neosphere of a video for 2022 trance-inducer ‘Hips’ (see below) from their second record Must Be The Moon.
Their tour commences in Napier at the gorgeous Paisley Stage, before zipping around Aotearoa in a massive undertaking of seven other regions. That means there’s almost no way to miss them, but don't risk it — tickets are on sale now!
