Vera Ellen and BIRDPARTY China Tour Fundraiser Shows Announced

If you haven't seen or heard BIRDPARTY yet, it's time to get with the programme mate. One of the most thrilling acts at this year's Camp A Low Hum festival amongst rather strong contenders, BIRDPARTY are Whanganui's sonically boundless, percussive avant-club duo of Emma Bernard (Ludus) and William Barrett (Heresiarch), who have linked up with 2024 Taite Music Prize winner Vera Ellen for a pair of tour fundraiser shows at Porridge Watson and the capital's Meow in early October.

Both projects are embarking on a whopping 16 date tour of China with electronic dance maverick Kaishandao aka Kristen Ng aka Kiwese — "the first Kiwese China Tour in 5 years!" — and they need your help to make it happen. Head along and pony up to support some of Aotearoa's finest artists blazing fresh trails in sound from Shanghai to Chengdu, joined for these fundraiser gigs by Alphabethead, Ekho Laliah, plus DJs Ludus, Rizzo and Woman's Work.
