Tess Liautaud Announces 'Blue Mind' Album Release Show + Unveils Single 'Black Machine'
Driving force in Ōtautahi's songwriting community, Tess Liautaud evokes the wide open expanses of the South Island with her new ballad 'Black Machine', the fourth single revealed from the Franco-American artist's upcoming album Blue Mind. Liautaud sings of bruised hearts, burdensome bonds and personal growth in her rustic strumming folk / country tune, enlivened by nimble whistling and given added contemplative visual dimension by roadscape imagery — filmed by Max Liautaud in Aotearoa, plus additional footage shot in France and Italy.
Unveiling Blue Mind in full on 25th October, Canterbury fans will be treated to a release show with full band "with all the frills" at Space Academy the following night. Preorder your copy of Blue Mind on vinyl LP / compact disc HERE and head along to this very special evening...
"Songs are meditations, a little drop of medicine for the songwriter and for anyone else who cares to listen. It follows the arc of two characters as their relationship loses balance, the heavy weight, the drowning, the searching, the breaking free
and eventually the finding".

Press release:
In celebration of her new album 'Blue Mind' Tess Liautaud will play one live intimate show with her band.
This album takes a leap from the previous indie-folk warmth of her self-titled debut into the natural conclusion of all Liautaud has to offer. While her song-writing stems from the same reflective place she now leads her band into thunder clouds, bringing this collection of songs alive in all their folk, roots and rock & roll glory.
The full band with all the frills, at Ōtautahi favourite, Space Academy.
