Georgia Lines Shares Single / Video 'Wonderful Life'
Winner of Best Pop Artist at the 2024 Aotearoa Music Awards, Georgia Lines calls back to director Frank Capra's 1946 Christmas classic with her new ballad 'Wonderful Life' — pushing against the temptation to view the past through a rose-tinted lens, soldiering onwards with head held high. Co-written with UK songwriter / producer Matt Hales, 'Wonderful Life' is complimented with visuals directed by Lizzie Turner and made with support from NZ On Air, depicting the Aotearoa artist's solitary everyday activities / chores in and about a cosy rural cottage, progressively covering the windows with affirmative reminders.
She's curated Georgia Lines: Under the Stars with Friends, joining forces with Hollie Smith, Louis Baker and Nikau Grace with musicians from the Auckland Philharmonia, "for an unforgettable evening of breathtaking vocals, rich orchestration, and masterful storytelling", as part of Auckland Live Cabaret Festival on 15th June...
"You see me writing mantras on the walls — phrases that have kept me company over the years. It’s not flashy or overly stylised, but instead gentle and reflective, much like the song itself. It captures the in-between moments, the stillness, and the quiet determination that sits just beneath the lyrics."
'Wonderful Life' is out today on major streaming platforms.
