Go Live Festival 2025 boasts a bakers dozen bill of Aotearoa mega-talents — thirteen acts sprawling across four stages at Christchurch Town Hall on 23rd August. This year's whopper lineup features many faces familiar to local music buffs, including the avidly awaited return of electronica stars Minuit (playing their only South Island event this winter), alt-rock hitmakers Tadpole (now fronted by Emma Dilemma), Ōtautahi guitar-shredders Cairo Knife Fight, reunited Canterbury pop-punks Slim (formed by Aaron Hogg of Pumpkinhead), plus Rodney Fisher's (Goodshirt) new project with The Response.
These icons of our community will share the stage with a new breed of notable acts, including songwriting alchemist Ryan Fisherman, husband and wife folk duo Terrible Sons and much more, including the ultimate winner of university band competition Dig The Gig. Get ready Ōtautahi, Go Live Festival returns for its 5th year, at the iconic Christchurch Town Hall. This year’s festival will feature thirteen acts playing across four different stages, showcasing an incredible lineup of both homegrown and national talent.
The 2025 lineup will include the highly anticipated return of Minuit, the legendary electronic act whose sound has defined an era of Kiwi music. Fans will also witness a special reunion of the 90s punk-pop rock band Slim, delivering a dose of nostalgia and high-energy anthems, along with recently reformed national rock legends Tadpole.
Rodney Fisher (Goodshirt) will be teaming up with local indie music producers The Response and adding to the excitement, sonic powerhouse Cairo Knife Fight are jetting in directly from the USA to rock the crowd.
But that’s not all, Go Live Festival 2025 will feature more exceptional artists, each bringing their unique style and sound to this unmissable event. From rising stars to seasoned performers, the festival will showcase some of the best of New Zealand’s vibrant music scene.
With its growing reputation as a celebration of Aotearoa’s musical talent, Go Live Festival has become a cornerstone event on Ōtautahi’s winter calendar.
