No Fun At All (SWE) Returning To New Zealand
Local devotees of fist-pumping punk can literally look forward to No Fun At All later this year — as the veteran Swedish group have announced their first Aotearoa New Zealand date in twenty eight years! Emerging from the township of Skinnskatteberg in 1991 and a vibrant force ever since, with only brief pauses in activity during the early 2000s and in 2013, NFAA's current lineup includes co-founding guitarist Mikael Danielsson, long-term members (going back to the dawn of the group) singer Ingemar Jansson and drummer Kjell Ramstedt, alongside recent recruits Fredrik Eriksson and Stefan Bratt.
Nu Fun At All were at the forefront of a wave of melodic hardcore / skate-punk that took over the globe during the '90s, making their name with rapid-fire albums No Straight Angles (1994), Out of Bounds (1995), The Big Knockover (1997) and State of Flow (2000). Finally down under following the launch of their 2022 long player Seventh Wave, move fast as you may not get another chance to catch No Fun At All playing ONE SHOW ONLY at Auckland's Double Whammy this spring — brought to you by REX and Sticky Fingaz Presents...
