Sprawling across nine Pōneke venues (and ten stages) in the inner city on 6th September, Eyegum Music Collective's already quite spectacular GREAT SOUNDS GREAT 2025 just got even great-er, with a stonking second lineup announcement. Ōtepoti icon Shayne P. Carter — subject of director Margaret Gordon's new documentary Life In One Chord — will perform a special solo set in St Peter's Church, hometown heroes Hans Pucket will be there busting out new tunes, and the irrepressibly talented The Spectre Collective will treat adventuresome festival-goers to a "session of cinema scored live".

More new musical and poetry additions to the bill include rising songwriter Sofia Machray, Baeoli, By A Damn Sight, Jordan Hamel, Leah Dodd and Rebecca Hawkes. There'll be plenty of streetside events to dip into as you zoom from venue to venue, including live in-stores at Flying Nun Records, plus Tonic collective "have curated a travelling DJ/electronic stage at secret pop-up venues around the area". Grip the updated details in audio-visual form via the snazzy lineup video below, and absurdly (in a good way) that's not even the end of it — look out for even more artists for GSG 2025 to be announced soon...
