Listen to Carnivorous Plant Society's New 'The Lizard' EP
A new collection of tunes from Aotearoa aural imagineers Carnivorous Plant Society is always a treat for our ears to explore and savour. Helmed by multi-instrumentalist / composer / cartoonist Finn Scholes, the collective's The Lizard EP is fact part one of a trilogy — "the first of a series three EPs by Carnivorous Plant Society" — a generous six tracks teleporting listeners to realms of friskily percussive synth-assisted exotica, heavy grooving horn-injected avant-rock, lounge-jazz fantasia, cinematic spaghetti western sizzle, and inter-dimensional vocal radiance.
Equally sensational on stage, CPS membership for The Lizard features Tam Scholes, Cass Basil, Alistair Deverick and Siobhanne Thopmpson, with contributions from Michael Barker, Lewis McCallum and, Rafferty Randell-Scholes, the latter authentically providing "baby noises on Love Monolith". Warm up these chilly winter days with The Lizard and don't miss CPS on tour, starting this Friday...
