Agitating local earholes for nigh on a decade, Pōneke's goya have signalled the new era of their forthcoming studio record Home Turf, launching with an expectedly raucous double-headline tour alongside fellow windy city heavy hitters E.U.G (Everybody Under God). goya's first collection of tunes since 2021's Being Earnest EP is teased with the stark and searing post-punk expanses of "mandatory album release hype single" 'Bulldozer', while E.U.G devotees are still savouring the spiky and hammering ferocity of 2024's debut United By Love EP. Ten years on and still not deaf, Pōneke post-punks Goya are celebrating a decade of noise with the release of their new album 'Home Turf' (out 8 August). They'll be taking it on the road round the motu with friends and fellow sonic travellers EUG, who released the blisteringly excellent collection 'United By Love' last year. Playing six stops plus an appearance at Great Sounds Great festival, these shows are not to be missed by fans of true originals, or just good loud music.
