Dying Fetus Touring New Zealand in December w/ 200 Stab Wounds

Aotearoa extreme music enthusiasts have had a banner year in 2025, now bolstered to even more excessively brutal heights with the announcement US death metal veterans Dying Fetus are returning down under, playing their first local tour in 16 years this December. First emerging from Upper Marlboro, Maryland in the early '90s, and still helmed by growling vocalist / guitarist John Gallagher, Dying Fetus' 2000 third album Destroy the Opposition (Relapse Records) was featured in Decibel's Top 100 Albums of the decade list for the 2000s (and subsequent Hall of Fame), cited as highly influencing the then-emerging subgenre of deathcore.

Armed with songs from their unrepentantly aggressive ninth studio long player, 2023's Make Them Beg for Death, Dying Fetus with be joined in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch by fellow countrymen 200 Stab Wounds, who launched their second album Manual Manic Procedures last year via Metal Blade Records — all brought to you by Soundworks Direct.
