Goya Share New Album 'Home Turf'

Staunchly repping rawkus noise-punk from the capital's underbelly, goya toast the dawn of their second decade together with the release of their second studio album Home Turf. Snarling and impassioned vocal yowls, brambly guitar flurries, and sturm-und-clang percussion are dispensed with gusto across Home Turf's ten tracks, allowing space for listeners to catch their breath with pensive post-rock / balladic passages — unfolding into scorched drone-scapes on the record's midway epic 'Incandescent'.

The rumbling title track provides the record's disenchanted core mantra, grimly (and accurately) observing, "These rich kids will inherit the earth / These rich kids are living free," while the spiky 'Concession' shifts the tempo up a gear with frantic robo-riffs. Unadorned and raw, Home Turf is an ideal primer for fans before goya and E.U.G's joint nationwide tour rolls into a venue near you, starting next weekend at Newtown's Moon and Whanganui's Porridge Watson...
