Radio Active Live at The Hannah - 48th Birthday Event
Championing cutting edge sounds on Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington's radio airwaves for nearly a half century, RadioActive.FM is in fact the longest serving FM broadcaster in Aotearoa New Zealand! Key member of our Captain Planet-like Student Radio Network (driving force behind the Aotearoa Alternative Awards), RadioActive.FM originated as the student station for Victoria University of Wellington Students’ Association (VUWSA) in August 1977 — the very same year The Enemy began banging the drum for punk rock in NZ — making them forty eight years old next month. A distinguished age and storied history indeed, to be toasted with Radio Active Live at the Hannah, "a listener whānau get-together" happening at the capital's Hannah Playhouse on 17th September. Here's the official scoop, with no doubt more details to be revealed...
"Ever wonder what happens behind the scenes at RadioActive.FM?
Whether you are a die hard listener, or used to hang at Active back in the day, join us for a listener whānau get-together, Radio Active Live at the Hannah!
Celebrate the station's 48th Birthday with us and see some of today's Active personalities interviewing local icons and musicians for some special stripped down, intimate sets."
