Phoebe Rings Play 'Aseurai' Auckland Shows Announced

Tāmaki Makaurau dream / city / sophisti / boogie-pop sensations Phoebe Rings will soon be traversing North America as special guests for our very own The Beths (see HERE), but before they do, they've announced a very special pair of hometown headline gigs. Recipients of glowing praise from Pitchfork for their immaculately crafted debut album Aseurai — "Aseurai is nearly blinding with starlight, but choose any lyric, any note, and chances are it still shines on its own" — the team of Crystal Choi, Simeon Kavanagh-Vincent, Benjamin Locke and Alex Freer will play the entirety of their record at Old Samoan Church (next to East St. Hall) on 13th September, accompanied by a vinyl DJ set from Leonard Charles. To accommodate demand there will be early evening and later performances on the same night, plus both shows are all-ages! Here are the details...
