Watch The Bats' Video for New Single 'The Gown'
Flowing with gothic elegance yet chilly as a mid-winter frost in Canterbury, 'The Gown' is the newest ballad to emerge from The Bats' forthcoming album Corner Coming Up, which will be out in the world in full on 17th October via Flying Nun Records. The legendary team of Robert Scott, Kaye Woodward, Paul Kean and Malcolm Grant join forces with director Martin Sagadin for the official clip, gathering Kean, Woodward, Annabel Kean and Callum Devlin (the latter two currently abroad promoting their ace debut feature film The Weed Eaters) around the dining room table, contrasting familial warmth and a crisp kind of contemplative solitude.
It's all go for The Bats in the coming weeks, who'll soon be gracing Eyegum's GREAT SOUNDS GREAT 2025 in Pōneke and Tāmaki Makaurau's The Others Way Festival. Lucky southern gig-goers can catch them celebrating the Geraldine Town Hall Cinema centenary tonight...
