The Others Way Festival 2025 Second Lineup Announced ft. Connan Mockasin, Florist, Toody Cole, Karen Nyame KG + More
Tāmaki Makaurau's already quite terrific The Others Way Festival 2025 just became double mandatory with today's official second lineup announcement. Topping today's deluge of fresh additions, Te Awanga's globally adored psych-pop songwriter Connan Mockasin will perform in the super city with band for the first time this decade. Fronted by songwriter and sound artist Emily Sprague, Brooklyn NYC indie-folk stars Florist (whose new album Jellywish has been reaping rave reviews) will perform as a duo for the occasion, plus The Others Way will host absolute icon of Portland garage rock 'n' roll, Dead Moon co-founder Toody Cole and Her Band.
More new special guests from abroad include London club heavyweight 'Goddess of Rhythm' Karen Nyame KG and Naarm / Ōtautahi trip-hop noir songwriter Georgia Knight. The local contigent is bolstered further by Mā, Clear Path Ensemble, Jim Nothing, jackaltheblackal, Pearly* and Brandn Shiraz x Caru, all at the forefront of their respective fields. This is all in addition to the monster-scale first lineup, including Sharon Van Etten and The Attachment Theory, High Dependency Unit, Zamrock pioneers W.I.T.C.H aka We Intend To Cause Havoc, Pōneke's The Phoenix Foundation performing their just-reissued 2005 album Pegasus, plus even more.
Carrying the torch of inclusivity from previous incarnations, The Others Way Festival organisers have also revealed there'll be not one but two all-ages stages this November — The Flying Out All-Ages Stage plus a secondary all-ages stage at The Pitt St Methodist Church — featuring a specially curated selection of local rising stars and established stars. Always an annual highlight for discerning festival-goers, this will be the first time ever Karangahape Road will be closed down for the event, finally transforming The Others Way into a bona fide street party! If you haven't locked in your spot, we recommend taking swift action. Grab a festival pass and scope out the updated lineup details below, with even more details to be revealed in the weeks to come...

Press release:
The second line-up announcement for Tāmaki Makaurau’s favourite street festival has just dropped, and it’s nothing short of flipping brilliant. Saturday 29 November across Karangahape Road, there’s only one place you should be.
Just announced as joining dozens of mind-boggling acts at The Others Way this year is none other than Connan Mockasin, making his grand return to Auckland in band format for the first time in 6 years. Also appearing amongst the astounding new array of acts are Brooklyn’s Emily Sprague-fronted band Florist (appearing as a duo); truly iconic Dead Moon founder and Portland rock’n’roll stalwart Toody Cole & Her Band; London club queen and “Goddess of Rhythm” Karen Nyame KG; Melbourne folk & trip-hop favourite Georgia Knight; sought after Pōneke rapper and singer-songwriter Mā; Cory Champion’s boundary-pushing jazz outfit Clear Path Ensemble; Aotearoa Music Award-winner for Best Alternative Artist Jim Nothing; enigmatic rapper jackaltheblackal, Ōtepoti’s big guitar sound darlings Pearly*, and the one-two collaborative punch of local rap hero Brandn Shiraz with sought after producer Caru.
In recent years, the all-ages stage at The Others Way has been one of the most vibrant places to catch the next-big-things, and this year is no exception. Down with the kids this year are Pōneke guitar slingers Dropper featuring Jude Savage (ex-Bleeding Star), Tāmaki based musician, interdisciplinary artist, and extraterrestrial witch VIDA, alternative rock band and “clowns with hand grenades” Capricore, “heavy psych drifters” Crying Ivy, and riot grrrl faves Lipstick Cherry.
The Pitt St Methodist Church stage will be a secondary all-ages space, and includes performances from Tiny Ruins (duo), Shannon Lay (US), and Holly Arrowsmith. A full stage schedule and All Ages final details will be announced in November.
These phenomenal new names join a truly scorching roster of previously announced acts, including the world dominating majesty of Sharon Van Etten & The Attachment Theory (US), set to headline our brand new main stage.
Also on the menu, Aotearoa’s fabled masters of big noise High Dependency Unit, back to saturate your ears for their first live shows since 2017; Canadian “sonic nonconformist” Saya Gray is headed our way for her debut NZ show; The Phoenix Foundation performing their recently reissued cult classic Pegasus in full; and Zambia’s “Zamrock” legends W.I.T.C.H. are intending to cause havoc, Others Way style. All this and a heck of a lot more.
And, as a reminder, for the first time ever we’re closing down KARANGAHAPE ROAD! Expect the whole dang block between Queen Street and Pitt Street to transform into the party of your dreams, with our main stage landing right near the Rainbow crossing.
You heard it here, folks. We’re shutting down the street, throwing K Road the biggest party you’ve ever seen, and bringing you the wildest line-up in the festival’s history. You don’t wanna miss it.
