Songweaver of heartbreak and intrigue, Hemi Hemingway (Waitaha, Ngāi Tahu, Kāti Māmoe, Te Āti Awa, Ngāti Mutunga) has sashayed into a midnight realm of new wave rock romanticism with the lead singles from his forthcoming studio album Wings Of Desire. The Te Whanganui-a-Tara based crooner is soon heading northwards with his bandmates the Snowflakes for a special record release party at Tāmaki Makaurau's Neck of the Woods, joined by Roy Irwin playing solo plus even more guests to be revealed. You may have sensed rumblings or felt the winds change over the past few months. You may have noticed a quiet stirring. Well ‘Wings of Desire’, Hemi Hemingway’s sophomore album, is being released into the world on 20th February through PNKSLM Recordings - with the help of Secretly Canadian Distribution. And to celebrate, Hemi and his full band are coming to Tāmaki Makaurau to make Neck of the Woods the site of a sweaty, gothy album launch party a week later, on Friday 27th February.

Performing songs from the new album, Hemi & the Snowflakes will also be joined by Roy Irwin (solo) + more TBA to help with the celebrations.
