Winner of the 2023 Taite Music Prize for Ideal Home Noise, Vera Ellen has announced the new era of HEAVEN KNOWS WHAT TIME, the Te Whanganui-a-Tara based artist's imminent fifth solo album, out on 1st May via Flying Nun Records. Directed by Jerry Ramirez, starring Zipporah Norton and made with support from NZ On Air, the video for lead single 'gayfever' has a playfulness to match the sing-a-long's lusty bounce. Ruminating upon the artistic process, still life becomes weird reality as an artist ultimately merges with the object(s) of their desire.

Written during a residency in Greytown, Vera Ellen reflected, "After the heaviness of Ideal Home Noise, I feel it is pressing that I now create an uplifting record that has a guiding message of hope, but from a matured perspective."
