Prosa Unveil 'Damaged Ether (Gang of Four)' - Touring South Island This Week
Heading south for a triple date tour of Te Waipounamu this week, Tāmaki Makaurau / Berlin punk noiseniks Prosa have unfurled 'Damaged Ether (Gang of Four)', a deliriously rowdy mashing together of two songs by UK post-punk figureheads Gang Of Four — 'Ether' and 'Damaged Goods' — reminding me a bit of Jesus Lizard's similarly minded early classic 'Chrome'. Bristling with nervy energy, the new single nails the brief, teeing punters up nicely for Prosa's headline gigs at Ōtepoti's The Crown with Sivle Talk and Seek Help, Ōtautahi's Space Academy with Hoihoi and Mental Joy, then back to Ōtepoti for a Sunday afternoon all-ages rager at Yours with Deaf Racoon and The Pink Opaque. A gripping bonus chapter to Prosa's late 2025 Idle State EP, listen up to 'Damaged Ether (Gang of Four)' and head along...
