Unless you've been stuck sealed in a cave with no internet access for the past couple of decades, you've probably more than a passing familiarity with Avondale's irrepressible icon of hip-hop, jazz and soul, Tom Scott. Just announced as finalist for this year's prestigious Taite Music Prize — an accolade he took away in 2019 for Avantdale Bowling Club's debut album — the YGB / Home Brew / @Peace / Average Rap Band founder has announced a new pair of events toasting his heart-baring debut solo album ANITYA, described by the artist on release late last year as "Van Morrison covers band plays Here, My Dear."

Fans in Te Whanganui-a-Tara and Kirikiriroa can look forward to self untitled tour dates at Meow Nui and BNZ Theatre this coming May (NZ Music Month / Te Marama Puoro o Aotearoa). Scott also has a brand new B-sides collection up his sleeve entitled Demos and Voice Memos, dropping on Bandcamp this coming Friday.
