Watch Aldous Harding's Video for New Single 'One Stop'
Aldous Harding has reemerged with news of an upcoming fifth studio album entitled Train On The Island, heralded by today's lead single 'One Stop', following her guest star contribution to UK grimlords Sleaford Mods' new album The Demise of Planet X. "I've been away too long" is Harding's opening line for 'One Stop', reminiscing "I met the real John Cale / He had no words, but I don’t mind / I packed the stage while he ate rice", while tipping her hand as a possible unreliable narrator in song, stating "So the lies I tell send me up, and I can’t get down?" Keeping anticipation sky high with minimal looping refrain before settling into buoyant strum, Harding's expressive movements take centre stage in the accompanying video for 'One Stop', filmed / directed by Michelle Henning and made with support from NZ On Air.
Co-produced with long-time creative partner John Parish at Rockfield Studios in Monmouth, Wales, the Aotearoa songwriting luminary's new record will be out in full on 8th May via Flying Nun Records and 4AD. Preorder your physical format of choice and experience 'One Stop' below...
