Youngest son of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti, Seun Kuti (aka Oluseun Anikulapo Kuti) has been leading his father's legendary group Egypt 80 since the late nineties. The Nigerian superstar and band have announced their first visit to Aotearoa New Zealand in a decade, all set to get bodies moving at Auckland Town Hall this May as part of The Winter Series — a curated concert series brought to you by Live Nation in association with Tātaki Auckland Unlimited, on behalf of Auckland Council Events — followed by a headline gig at the capital's newest hotspot Meow Nui.

Nigerian musician, singer, and songwriter Seun Kuti returns to Aotearoa after previously headling WOMAD in 2009 and 2016. The youngest son of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti, he is the first act to be announced for the Winter Series at Auckland Town Hall this May, before heading to Wellington’s Meow Nui, and will joined by his father’s former band Egypt 80.

The Winter Series returns for its second year; a curated concert series brought to you by Live Nation in association with Tātaki Auckland Unlimited, on behalf of Auckland Council Events.
