Tim Mahon (Blam Blam Blam) Touring New Album 'The Great Kerfuffle'
Co-helmsman of Aotearoa alt-pop royalty Blam Blam Blam, and key member of such legendary combos as The Whizz Kids and The Plague, Tim Mahon has evidently been putting his songwriting pen to fine use. Crammed full of ripping and gloriously scrappy post-punk tunes recorded with members of Ardijah, Newmatics and O.M.C, songs on Mahon's new album The Great Kerfuffle could easily be confused with raw-edged classics right out of It's Bigger Than Both of Us — an accomplishment indeed to this listener's ears — sounding Pere Ubu-adjacent on 'Quite Nice', lead single 'Vote', and dance-punk bop 'I'm OK'.
Mahon is taking his new record on the road with his top tier band, rolling into The Hub in Milford this Friday — a rare live gig highlight for North Shore dwellers — Whammy Bar next Wednesday and Taupō on 12th June. Tuck in to The Great Kerfuffle and don't miss Mahon with band and special guests at the following dates...
