Watch Reb Fountain's Video For New Single 'Good People'

A necessary message for our politically fraught times — as a cursory glance at headlines will confirm — Reb Fountain calls out to listeners, "Good people let's tear the fascists down" in her new single 'Good People'. A soulful and smoky ballad of resistance, co-written with Dave Khan and featuring guest vocalists Tami Neilson and Dianne Swann, 'Good People' is the lead single from the Aotearoa songwriter's upcoming new album Water for Gasoline. Recorded "live, most songs in a single take",  the long player will be out via her own Fountain Records on 14th August.

Directed by Reb Fountain's daughter and regular collaborator Lola Fountain-Best, and made with support from NZ On Air, the multi-award-winning artist is a solitary figure roaming central Tāmaki Makaurau's avenues and alleyways in the accompanying video for 'Good People'. Echoing the post-apocalyptic urban lonesomeness of director Geoff Murphy's 1985 film The Quiet Earth, albeit with more evident signs of hope for humanity, experience 'Good People', preorder Water for Gasoline HERE and look forward to more from Fountain in the near future...
