Punkfest 2026 Lineup Announced

First kicked off in 1996, Punkfest has been a rite of passage for multiple generations of Aotearoa punks for three decades and counting (check out the first flyer HERE). Hosted by Razored Raw and gathering together acts from all around the motu, Punkfest 2026 is taking over Barrel Brothers Newtown in Te Whanganui-a-Tara for two nights of DIY amp-blasting mayhem this October. This year's 30th anniversary (!) edition proudly boasts, "18 bands, DJs, markets and maximum carnage over Labour Weekend!"

The full Punkfest 2026 lineups for Friday and Saturday have now officially been unleashed, along with hints of an "all ages ask-a-punk secret show Sunday 25th" — grip the details and join the fun...

"Friendly and rungus times only! We don't want anyone in our community to feel marginalized in any way and we aim to create a safe, inclusive environment for everyone who wishes to participate.

By all means, go hard and go off in the pit, but there will be no tolerance for violent behaviour or any racist, sexist, homophobic or transphobic attitudes at Punkfest."
