Alphabethead & Grecco Romank Touring Together This Spring

Two of Aotearoa's most mind-mashing musical propositions — both on stage and on your home stereo system — turntablist / sampladelic guru Alphabethead (Bad Taste) and dungeon-techno mavericks Grecco Romank are teaming up for three crucial gigs this spring. They're corralling special guests galore for Tāmaki Makaurau hotspot Goblin, Whanganui's Porridge Watson and Pōneke's Meow, rounded off with an Alphabethead headline date (no Grecco) at Kirikiriroa gig hub Last Place.

Alphabethead is also on the supremely stonking bill for the Nightmare On Drews Halloween party at Porridge Watson on 31st October (if anyone is driving from Tāmaki please squeeze me in) and has a new video for 'Misanthrope' out any minute, from his standout 2025 album My Name Is David (Sunreturn). "Lovely peeps! I have a little video release mini-adventure coming up and it’s with my fave sewer-pop, live-techno, performance-art band Grecco Romank! I’ve been enticing them to come to Whanganui for ageees and it’s finally happening. They are very special; it's turned into a Springtime mini-tour!

I also have a new music video for Misanthrope coming out soon! It’s a collaboration with the brilliant Dr D Foothead. The video presents a hunk of organic matter lying dormant in a Cronenberg-esque laboratory. As this undulating subject is fed aural and visual stimulation we marvel at it’s mutation and evolution in real-time!! See the poster for one of it's forms...
