Eigenface Announce Debut Album Release Tour + Share Single / Video 'Slow Exposure'

A technical term for "a set of eigenvectors when used in the computer vision problem of human face recognition" (thanks for clearing that up Wikipedia), Eigenface is also the new musical project of Penelope Esplin (French for Rabbits, Lake South, Grawlixes), Elliot Vaughan (Moth Quartet, CNZ/NZSM Composer in Residence 2024) and Logan Valentine (Moon Lander). Based between Aotearoa and New York City, the high pedigree trio topped local student radio charts with the shadowy trip-hop of their debut single 'House by the Sea', and today reveal a warmer side with their second official release 'Slow Exposure'.

Blending together intricately skittering electronica, möbius loop melodies, bold low end, pleasingly crunchy guitar jabs and lilting lead vocals by Valentine, Eigenface's new art pop tune is brought into the visual realm with a playful accompanying clip — "Made with naivety and enthusiasm in Elliot's back yard."

Recorded and mixed by Vaughan, Eigenface's self-titled debut album will be out in full on 2nd October via Home Alone Records. They'll be spreading the word in a big way, reconvening for a six date nationwide tour starting on release day.
