Major forces in the 21st century explosion of US emo-pop and alt-rock, the influence of The Early November and Hellogoodbye continues to grip the imaginations of local songwriters and gig-goers alike. Both formed in 2001, their musically distinct journeys will converge in Aotearoa New Zealand this coming March, when The Early November and Hellogoodbye play double headline dates at Double Whammy in Tāmaki Makaurau and San Fran in Te Whanganui-a-Tara. The thrill power overload doesn't quit there, as both groups are toasting the 20th anniversary of significant breakout works for fans to yowl along with.

Fronted by Forrest Kline, California's Hellogoodbye will salute the boisterous legacy of their 2006 hit debut album Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs!, while New Jersey emo-rockers The Early November will celebrate their ambitious 2006 triple disc classic The Mother, the Mechanic and the Path. Two of the defining bands of the 2000s emo / alternative scene are heading to New Zealand in March 2027, with The Early November and Hellogoodbye joining forces for two special shows celebrating 20 years of their landmark albums.

The two bands will perform in Auckland and Wellington, bringing their hugely influential records and a stack of fan favourites to New Zealand for the first time in this special double bill.

The Early November will celebrate two decades of The Mother, The Mechanic, and the Path while Hellogoodbye mark 20 years of Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs! — albums that helped define an era and remain hugely loved by fans today.
