Midnight (USA) 'Satanic Royalty' New Zealand Shows Announced
Aotearoa's devotees of hellish blackened speed metal and downright depraved punk will like pigs in muck this coming April, when Cleveland, Ohio's Midnight storm the stage at everybody's favourite dive bars, Valhalla in Te Whanganui-a-Tara and Whammy in Tāmaki Makaurau. The project of Athenar with menacing hooded bandmates, Midnight will be down under toasting the 15th anniversary of their debut opus Satanic Royalty (released by Hells Headbangers in 2011), which they'll be playing in its entirety, plus assorted "black ‘n’ roll" classics from a sordid oeuvre now six studio albums deep — including their latest, 2025's Steel, Rust and Disgust (Metal Blade Records).
