Press Release:

Van She are excited to announce their first string of tour dates in support of their forthcoming sophomore album Idea Of Happiness. The headline tour takes in 11 dates across Australia and New Zealand, starting in Perth on the eve of the official release of their new album on July 6.

The lead single from the album, also titled ‘Idea Of Happiness’ has been getting serious love. It’s in high rotation at Triple J (at #4 most played last week), and is approaching 150,000 streams on Soundcloud. The SebastiAn remix of the track hit the #1 position on the Hype Machine charts, and the Andreas Nilsson-directed video is in high rotation at Channel V. Watch the video for 1st single ‘Idea Of Happiness’ here:

So uplifting it’s practically levitational, Idea Of Happiness is Van She’s most focused, joyous musical excursion to date. An album stirred by sun-baked travels and fleeting truths, and shaken with the sands of time, Idea Of Happiness was recorded, engineered and produced by the band themselves in Kings Cross, Sydney, and mixed by Tony Hoffer (Air, Beck, Phoenix, M83) in Los Angeles.

Idea Of Happiness is an ecstatic celebration of Van She’s sound, and one the band and Modular are incredibly proud to share very soon. Rising stars RüFüS provide support on selected dates.
