Listen: Javelin - Nnormal

Javelin are a Brooklyn-based electronic who are due to release a new album on David Byrne's record label, Luaka Bop this March. They've dropped a single from the forthcoming album and it's appropriately - for both the David Byrne association and the band's back catalogue - straight-up weird. Teetering on the edge of collapse, 'Nnormal' awkwardly combines worldly percussion and found sounds before joyously exploding into a science-fiction trance track. And it all fits together nicely.
