Video: Liars - WIXIW

Liars released their sixth studio album WIXIW in 2012; a delicately introspective record as singer Angus Andrews noted in our interview with him last year. The band have just dropped the video for the title track from the album and, detailing a basketball player's failures to sink a hoop, is apparently reflective of a couple of things. Firstly, the band's only interaction with the outside world while they were recording WIXIW was watching basketball and secondly it notes that a sport event is performed in a finite amount of time with finite goals - while creative pursuits generally don't have these limitations. The video was an attempt to express all these layers and, directed by Alex/2 Tone, you can check it out below.
