
Kimbra and Gotye Win Big at 2013 Grammys
Homegrown pop sensation Kimbra took out two categories at one of the world's biggest music awards - The Grammys - held yesterday in LA. Her hit song with Australia's Gotye - 'Somebody That I Used To Know' - won Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance - Gotye also won Best Alternative Album for his 2011 release Making Mirrors.
Other winners of note included: The Black Keys who took out Best Rock Album (for El Camino) Best Rock Perfomance, Best Rock Song (for 'Lonely Boy') and Dan Auerbach won Producer of The Year (Non-Classical); Frank Ocean's critically acclaimed album Channel Orange won Best Urban Contemporary Album and also featured on Jay-Z & Kanye's track 'No Church In The Wild' which won 'Best Rap/Sung Collaboration - the pair also took out Best Rap Song for 'N****s In Paris'; Adele won Best Solo Pop Performance for 'Set Fire To The Rain' from her live album; and Skrillex unsurprisingly took out the main dance categories - Best Dance Recording and Best Dance/Electronica Album.
