Press Release:

BEASTWARS BLOOD BECOMES FIRE TOUR

Two years ago Wellington sonic soothsayers Beastwars changed the meaning of heavy music in New Zealand with their self titled debut album.

On April 19 the band will release their second album ‘Blood Becomes Fire’. The record is already receiving critical acclaim internationally and being cited by many as “the metal album of the year”.

This May Beastwars are taking to the road in New Zealand and Australia on a 13-stop tour to satisfy gig-hungry fans.

Guitarist Clayton Anderson says of performing tracks from the new album live, "I haven't felt the same sort of buzz since I learnt to play Slayer's ‘Mandatory Suicide’ and my High School band performed it at Marlborough Boys College assembly."

To celebrate the album release and kick-off the tour Beastwars will play a short in-store set at Real Groovy Auckland at 4.00pm on Record Store Day 20th April - where a limited edition of 100 blood red vinyl copies will be available for purchase, before joining up with John Garcia of Kyuss and his band Unida for select dates in New Zealand and Australia.
