Press Release:

Following on from 2010's The Liberation of..., an album that garnered critical plaudits and multiple awards, including the prestigious Taite Music Prize, Ladi6 will release her highly anticipated third studio album later this year . The as yet to be titled album was recorded between Studio A in Detroit, Michigan and Revolver Studios in Waiuku with the first single 'Ikarus' produced by Parks being described as a beautiful amalgamation of soul and futuristic hip-hop complemented by Ladi6's hypnotic vocals.

Ladi6 with Parks, Julien Dyne and Brandon Haru join forces with Auckland hip hop collective @Peace for a mid-winter national tour.

@Peace features Homebrew's Tom Scott, alongside Lui Tuiasau, Christoph 'El Truento' James, Hayden 'Dastardly' Dick and also Brandon Haru. Their second EP 'Girl Songs' was released on Valentine's Day this year, and one reviewer described it as 'a mixing pot of summery soul, funk, ghostly R&B and chilled rhymes'. @Peace is no mere 'side project' for Homebrew's Scott, it's a chance to explore his more contemplative and reflective side and he is ably assisted by the jazz and soul proclivities of the rest of the collective. With a debut album due out soon, @Peace look set to consolidate the promise of their two EPs.
