UTR couldn't get by without a little a lot of help from our friends and we are currently looking for a bunch of new music enthusiasts/would-be-friends to join our team of volunteer writers and photographers. If you have a bit of free time and would like to help us spread the good musical word we have opportunities available in all areas of our music coverage, including...

Album and live reviews: An interest in writing is essential here as is an interest in covering shows/releases outside of the mainstream. To get involved, please submit a review of a recent show or release HERE.

Interviews: We need a couple writers to conduct regular interviews with local musicians and music related folk -  if this sounds like a bit of you, contact us HERE.

Live photography: If you have access to a decent camera and love going to gigs, we want to hear from you - contact us HERE with some examples of your work or for a trial assignment.

Editorial assistant: We are looking to take on a couple of editorial interns with the aim of appointing a part-time editorial assistant to cover busy periods and holidays. Ideally we are looking for someone who has an equal interest in writing/journalism and music, that attends gigs regularly and who can intern for a couple of weeks at our offices in Auckland (approx three week day mornings from 8.30am to midday).
