Listen: !!! - And Anyway, It's Christmas

While Californian dance punk band !!! aren't exactly known for their sentimentality, if you take a closer look at some of their attributes you can start to draw a line between the likes of "Me And Giuliani Down By the School Yard (A True Story)" and their new, fireside (literally, check out the video) Christmas ballad "And Anyway, It's Christmas". Firstly, there's frontman Nic Offer's yacht rock-smooth dance moves, then there's his penchant for bright red (like, that's the colour of Christmas!) short shorts and then, there's also the band's relationship to the Juan Maclean and LCD Soundsystem, arguably the pinnacle of the "earnest, moving, quality, nostalgic synth rock" genre (because that is a thing). We're basically saying that !!! have always been a smooth, sensitive beast, and this holiday single, in which Offer describes the perfection of a girl wearing a Christmas-themed jumper, simply confirms that.
