Video: Lana Del Rey - Tropico

Enigmatic pop star Lana Del Rey has just shared a 27 minute short film which is essentially an extended promotional video for the aesthetic Lana Del Ray has been honing for the past couple of years. Directed by Anthony Mandler, the clip - in extremely surreal fashion - details Del Rey's vision of America (we think this is what is happening anyway); Jesus, Marilyn Monroe and Elvis all perform alongside each other while Del Ray dances in both the Garden of Eden and a strip club, alongside male model-of-the-moment Shaun Ross. Naturally. Guns, twerking and violence appear at the same moment Del Ray's voice over recitation of Allen Ginsberg's Howl really starts to heat up, and we honestly cannot decide whether or not he would be happy with this association or not.
