Madcap Music Presents:

Hailing from Montreal, Canada, acclaimed Haiti-born producer Kaytranada has set the beat scene alight in 2013, and visits New Zealand for the first time on the back of some the year’s best remixes, including devastating reworks of Missy Elliott, Jill Scott, and Janet Jackson. Madcap Touring is excited to announce the Kaytranada New Zealand Tour 2014, with shows at Ivy in Wellington, on Wednesday 5 March, at Dux Live in Christchurch, on Thursday 6 March, and in Auckland at Cassette Nine, on Friday 7 March.

At just 21 years old, Kaytranada has proved himself to be one of the most versatile and talented beatmakers of his generation. With a plethora of releases that take in an amazing array of musical styles, from precise trap beats through to soulful boogie and disco jams, Kaytranada is producer whose talent is matched by his enthusiasm for making music. Having received millions of plays on YouTube and Soundcloud, he looks destined to be one of 2014’s most talked about musicians, and this tour offers a chance for New Zealand fans to see this hyped artist reaching the top of his game. With tastemakers Benji B and Rinse FM providing industry support, and appearances on Vice’s Noisey website and the Boiler Room solidifying his position as ‘the producer’ to watch, Kaytranada made 2013 the most successful year of his short career. A tour to Australia in August garnered rave reviews and further enhanced his reputation, and Kaytranada is now set to make his New Zealand Tour one of the highlights of 2014.
