Video: Louis Baker - Heavy Stone (UTR Premiere)

Wellington-based singer songwriter Louis Baker has released a video for 'Heavy Stone' from his self-titled debut EP, which is due out later this month.

Louis says the soulful track was penned only weeks before he departed for the Red Bull Music Academy in New York and was never intended to be included on the EP. "But I am so glad it is," he says. "It was a joy to record, especially hearing the lush strings on it. Sonically it was so fresh and new to my ears to hear strings on something I had written. I think it really adds to the sentiment of the song which is all about moving on and believing in yourself."

The simple black 'n' white video was shot by Vibol Moeung and documents the recording of the EP, which took place in London under the watchful eye of Andy Lovegrove (Breaks Co-Op, Supergrass). Check it out below and watch the making of clip over here.
