Mick Jagger's Girlfriend Found Dead

Mick Jagger's long-time girlfriend L'Wren Scott has been found dead in her apartment overnight. News of the fashion designer's death reached The Rolling Stones frontman after the group's arrival in Perth, Australia, for a six-date tour. A spokesperson for Mick Jagger told The Guardian that the singer was "completely shocked and devastated by the news". The couple had been in a relationship since 2001.

The 49-year-old designer and former model was apparently discovered by her assistant in her Manhattan apartment. At this time New York Police do not suspect foul play.

The Rolling Stones were set to play their first Australian show in Perth on Wednesday night for the Australian leg of their 14 On Fire Tour. The seminal rock group was also due to play a show at Auckland's Mt Smart Stadium on April 5th. There is no word yet with regard to any cancellations of any of the shows.
