Live Photos: Billy Bragg - The Powerstation, Auckland

Folk troubadour Billy Bragg wrapped up his eight-date tour of Australia and New Zealand with a show at The Powerstation in Auckland last night, with support from local band Bond Street Bridge. Despite being travel weary the 56-year-old entertained the audience with a mix of his classic protest songs and soulful new tunes from his 2013 album Tooth and Nail, pausing only to charm the crowd even further with his highly witty banter. It is the first time Billy has bought a full band, which included a peddle steel, keys, bass and drums, adding a richness and depth to his live set. However, the Englishman still indulged the crowd by playing a few solo numbers. We sent photographer Rachael Yielder along to capture the action, check out her shots below...
