Video: Orchestra of Spheres - Fingerweg (UTR Premiere)
Cosmic sound explorers Orchestra of Spheres have unveiled an out-of-this-world video for plucky surrealist-pop single 'Fingerweg' (meaning 'hands off' in German). To make the clip, the band collaborated with Auckland installation artist Brydee Rood who is well-known for her work with plastic rubbish bags. Using her medium of choice, Rood transformed the orchestra into a clan of gold creatures who arise from the ocean's mysterious depths, which the group say is "a kind of cryptic comment on the deep sea oil exploration being carried out in NZ waters". It was shot by videographer Will Sklenars on Wellington's rugged south coast and at the group's new headquarters, The Pyramid Club. The single was released on 7" last week through Outside Inside Records and is backed by track 'Lost Days'. Check out the incredible video for 'Fingerweg' below...
