Video: tUnE-yArDs - Water Fountain

New Zealand director Joel Kefali is the man behind the vivid new video for Tuneyards' addictive single 'Water Fountain' from her forthcoming album Nikki Nack. Kefali says Tuneyards, aka Merrill Garbus, approached him with the idea of a video that paid homage to American children's television show PeeWee's Playhouse.

The director, who has made videos for Lorde and The Mint Chicks, says the offer was too good to refuse, but rather than doing a straight tribute to the show they built on the concept. He says: "there are moments of nostalgia in there but the video is our own modern, manic, collage of a kids show". And indeed, the colourful segments include a dog-hosted cooking slot and science with potatoes. Check it out below...
