Video: The Icypoles - Babies (UTR Premiere)

The new kids on the block at Lil' Chief Records are revealing the video for the sweet single 'Babies'. Melbourne all-girl group The Icypoles are the first Australian signing for the Auckland-based label and are set to release their debut album, titled My World Was Made For You, on May 16th. The quirky video for lead single 'Babies' was created by band-member Isobel Knowles who reckons it was tricky working with such a familiar song. To get her head in a fresh working space she focused on the guitar feedback, which she says was a new element that had been added to the track during album recording. "It's a very calm washy kind of sound and what better to compliment that than filming things underwater? So I spent a few days with some lights, fluff and a fishtank and a friend came in to help operate the camera and lights when I had my head underwater," Knowles explains. The result is a kaleidoscopic water ballet performed by some mesmerising hairy entities. Take a look below...
