Pacific Music Awards 2014 Winners Announced

The winners of the Pacific Music Awards were announced last night at a ceremony held at the Vodafone Events Centre in Manukau. Hip hop musician David Dallas and operatic group Sol3 Mio were the big winners of the evening, with Dallas taking home three top awards including Best Pacific Male Artist, Best Pacific Urban Artist and the Radio Airplay Award for his single 'Runnin''.

Familial trio Sol3 Mio won Best Pacific Group along with Best Pacific Album for their platinum-selling debut Sol3 Mio. The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Che Ness (aka Che Fu) for his ongoing work in music, which began in the 90s as part of Supergroove before kicking off his solo career by releasing chart-topping hit 'Chains' in 1996 with DLT, after which he moved on to release the highly successful debut solo album 2b S.Pacific.




The annual Pacific Media Awards, which were launched to acknowledge the success of Pacific artists, celebrated their 10th anniversary this year. Here's the full list of 2014's winners...
