Listen: The Chills - Pink Frost 13

The Chills have given their classic track 'Pink Frost' a makeover to reflect the way it is played live by the band's current line up. The Dunedin-based group are currently wrapping up a brief nationwide tour, and have announced a series of dates in July that see them taking their first European sojourn since 1996. Originally recorded in 1982 and released two years later, 'Pink Frost' has been performed at nearly every gig The Chills have played over the decades. Now 30 years after the song was first bought to light, the group has settled into a stable line-up (with Martin Phillipps still at the helm) and subsequently came to realise the track "had recently become something different and distinct again", and so sought to recapture it.
